…and have been doing astrophotography for about 20 years.
Before my retirement, I worked in the aviation sector.

Like most of my colleagues, I started with the Webcam photography of the moon and the planets. After some time, I switched to deep-sky astrophotography using a digital camera.
I modified a SONY Nex5 and, in conjunction with my first-class and affordable SW Newton 150/750mm f/5 first experience with deep sky photography.
Since summer 2021, I've been trying to take higher-quality astrophotography images with very good resolution. I place particular emphasis on quality rather than quantity.
For this I have the Takahashi Epsilon 160ED f/3.3 Newton and the mono Astrocam QHY268m with 7-part filter wheel.
Deswegen ist es naheliegend, dass ich besonders gerne sehr dunkle Astroplätze in Höhenlagen aufsuche.
Überhaupt betreibe ich diese wunderbare Beschäftigung fast nur mobil, um flexibel zu bleiben.
